Harvest Hello with abc

Aren’t teachers fabulous! I am so grateful for teachers and all that they do to teach my children. My autistic kiddos have wonderful paras and therapists too. I just love how versatile the Harvest Hellos punch and stamp set bundle is. I had fun casing one of Erica Cerwin’s cards.

Don’t you think any teacher would love getting a thank you card like this?

I also created this cute little Post-it note holder for my kiddos teachers too! Isn’t this fun? I was inspired by a  post it note holder that Dawn Griffith made for this one.

And last but not least, this fabulous card I cased from Connie Babbert.

Mercury Glass Meets Harvest Hellos

Don’t you just love the look of the Mercury Glass  paper with this pumpkin? I have been having fun creating with our harvest hellos stamps  and coordinating punch. This month our team had a color challenge with Soft Suede, Terra-cotta tile and grapefruit grove. Here is the card I created for it! I was totally inspired by Cheri’s Cards version.

I really like how the mercury glass paper gives the illusion of texture to the pumpkin!  Here is the inside!

I’m so excited! It’s finally here, Stampin’Up’s new 2019 - 2020 catalog!  I made this card for my team swap!

I love the new Birch Background stamp!  I also used our corrugated embossing folder to give the card some texture! The gold foiled leaves are from our Winter Woods stamp set. I had fun using our new Perennial Punch!

Hello Baby Fable Friends Card

Here is one of the cards I demonstrated at our weStamp regional meeting. The inside of this card was inspired by Becky Roberts. This card is a congratulations card and a gift card holder all in one. I used the light and dark soft suede Stampin Blends on this bunny for fun. The sentiments are from Baby bear so I  could fit it on the banner punched paper.

Isn’t the little gift bag in the center of the card adorable. I love how it pops up when you open it and if you open it completely it looks exactly like a bag, but can you fold it up completely  flat! So cool!
Here are some instructions on making the little gift bag in the middle of the card:

1. Cut a 3 3/4“ x 9 1/2“ strip of twinkle twinkle DSP.
2. place the DSP on the scoreboard in the portrait position and score at half inch and 2 3/4 inch.
3. rotate the paper into a landscape position and score at 2 3/4 ,3 1/4 ,3 3/4 ,7 1/4 ,7 3/4 and 8 1/4.”
4. Burnish the two long scores and then unfold the thinner one and leave the wider one folded over.
5. Burnish the other smaller score lines so they form a W shape
6. Place tear n tape on the inside end of the larger fold and then attach over to the smaller to make the little bag.
7. Next cut 2 pieces of  coordinating 1/4" ribbon 4 1/4" long.
8. Attach glue dots to both ends of ribbon and attach to the 2 top insides for handles.
9. Place tear n tape on backside of bag with seam below the 1/2 " score
10. Place inside with the adhesive  side on the middle of the inside fold of card. Then add more tear n tape to the bottom 1/2 " of the front side of bag.
11. Fold over left side of card to adhere to the front inside of card.
12. Open card flat and use bone folder if necessary to help the gift bag to stand.
13. Add selected gift card to bag placing it near the front or back side and not the middle. Then fold flat.

A Fable Friends Easter Basket

I had so much fun presenting at our weStamp regionals meeting. This Easter basket is one of the projects I created and presented! I just love the little rabbit from Fable Friends by Stampin’ Up! This basket was inspired by one I saw in the Occasions 2019 catalog. I just wanted to improve and have some better looking carrots, so this is how I did it!

Aren’t the carrots in this basket adorable! I also had fun coloring in the Peter rabbit with our Stampin Blends. The color choices I  used were Highland Heather light and dark,I also did crumb cake light and dark, and Ivory. For the ears in the belly I used light crumb cake and ivory. I  also had fun using our new rectangle framelits. Down below are some instructions on how I created the basket and the fun carrots!

 For the basket:

1. 1  8 1/2x11” piece of Cardstock in crumb cake.

2. Cut 1 strip of crumb cake Cardstock 3/4”x11”
3. Cut 2 pieces of crumb cake Cardstock 4 3/4”x 7”
4. Run the Cardstock pieces from step 3 through the big shot with the basket weave embossing folder.

5. Next place one of the embossed Cardstock pieces on the simply scored board in the landscape position and score at 3” and 6 1/2” Repeat with 2nd piece.
6. Rotate the Cardstock to the portrait  position with the unembossed side up against the left side of the simply scored board and score at 2” repeat with 2nd piece

7. Burnish folds
8. Cut the unembossed 2 inch section from the with a wedge cut score lines and bottom edge of 2 inch embossed section. Repeat with 2nd card stock piece. So they look like photo below.

9. Next add tear n tape or tombow glue to the unembossed flaps and adhere together.

10. Fold the flaps together to make bottom of box and adhere with tear n tape or tombow glue.
11. punch 1/8" holes on the ends of 3/4"x 11" strip. Next 1/2 " down the sides of the basket punch a 1/8" hole. Attach handle of basket to basket with brads.

For the basket decoration:

1. Cut 1/2 yard of desired ribbon. I used the Highland Heather from the Sale-a -bration rewards.
2. Stamp with Momento Ink, the Peter Rabbit onto a 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" piece of Whisper white cardstock. Stamp some grass in granny apple green.
3. Color the rabbit with Crumbcake Light and dark, Highland Heather Light and dark and Ivory Stampin Blends.
4. Use the Rectangle Framelits and cut the WW card stock with the framelit that is 1 3/4" x 3 1/4"
5. Use the next size up Rectangle framelit, 2 1/4" x 3 1/2", and cut a piece of Highland Heather Card stock.
6. Using the label from the Petite treat framelits, cut one of Highland heather gingham and one of Whisper White.
7. Stamp Easter Greetings on whisper white label with crumb cake ink in the center. Cut down straight just past both sides of the curved edge.
8. Attach ribbon with tear n tape or glue dots and tie a bow on the front right side of basket.
9. Adhere the white and HH rectangles together and attach to left side front of basket with dimensionals.
10.Mount white label onto HH label and attach with dimensionals to the right of stamped Peter Rabbit.

For the carrots

1. Using the Petite Treat framelits, cut 6 pieces of the scallop edge trim on white card stock and adhere to top of basket with  tombow.
2. Using the Petite Treat framelits, cut 3 pumpkin pie  pieces with the double circle top edge.

3. With a pencil color in the score marks on the cut Pumpkin Pie Piece. This will enable you to  see where to score and fold after embossing the paper.
4. Emboss PP pieces  with the corrugated embossing folder. Burnish score marks and adhere the treat container together. If filling with treats, leave top with 2 half circles not  adhered.
5. Using the Stampin Up leaf ribbon , cut 3 two inch pieces for each carrot. Attach to back of half circles with glue dots.
