Enjoy Life Brusho Card

I created this fabulous card for our monthly team meeting. I was so excited when it won first place!
I cased Erica Cerwin’s Brusho Spray starch/ Saran Wrap technique for fun! The bike also moves on this card as I used part of the Barn Door thinlit and washers.

To create this fun card, here are some instructions I used the Enjoy life stamp set :

For the Brusho background (this is very messy FYI)
1. Cut a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of shimmery white Cardstock. Spritz card with water.
2. Sprinkle yellow brusho on bottom 2/3 of Cardstock. Then sprinkle top 1/3 of paper with Brilliant Red Brusho.  Spray with laundry starch spray. Take empty aqua brush and spread the yellow and red  Brusho powder horizontally.
3.Sprinkle Prussian Blue Brusho on an acrylic block. Tap aqua painter in blue powder and apply in tiny vertical Brush strokes o bottom of paper for green grass. Rinse aqua painter.
4. Tsp aqua painter in blue powder and do horizontal strokes on top of paper for purple sky. Then spray more starch on.Apply crumpled  Saran Wrap over paper and let dry overnight.
5. Stamp bike on vellum with Stazon or momentous black ink. Fussy cut bike out.
6. Cut Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to 4”x5 1/4” . Set aside for later.
7. When dry stamp grass.  Mount onto 4x5.25 Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. Use half the barn door track Framelit and run through Big Shot.  Then attach center of bike wheels to washers on the track
8. Stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and mount onto Blackberry Bliss Cardstock cut with Stitched Framelits. Attach black thread to back and sequins to front of sentiment.
Enjoy!

Graduation Gift Jars

I made these cute graduation gifts for my niece and cousins kids. They turned out so cute!
I got the money rolled up from a post on Pinterest a couple of years ago.

These are half pint jars that I got at Hobby Lobby on sale for 1$ each. There is 25$ rolled up like diplomas in 1 $ bills. I tied the dollar bills with retired bakers twine. The school colors are black and teal and I found these fun tassels at hobby lobby too.  Here are some instructions on how I made these adorable gifts.

1. I measured around the jar and found that they were approximately 10.5 inches. I also measured the diameter of the lid which was 3 inches.
2. I cut one strip of  3/4 “ x 11.5” basic black for the band around the lid. Using the Layering Circles Framelits, I found that the 2nd largest smooth circle fit perfect and cut out a circle of Basic  Black Cardstock.
3.  Using tear n tape, I adhered the circle and the band to the jars.

4. Next I cut out a 4x4 inch square of Basic Black Cardstock. I punched a small hole in the center of the square and added the gold cord trim with tassel. I knotted the cord and taped it to the underside for  reinforcement and then attached the cardstock using Tear n tape to the top of the jar.

5. I used the following stamp sets: Thoughtful Banners and Labeler Alphabet
6. Next I stamped one of the thoughtful banners in Momento Black ink and in Island Indigo stamped congrats in side the banner. Then using the Duet Banner punch, I punched the banner out. Then using the scotch tape I covered the uation part of the graduation stamp. Then I inked it in Momento black, next removed the scotch tape and stamped on Whisper White cardstock. Next using the Labeler Alphabet I stamped 2018 in Momento ink and then used a oval framelit to cut out the saying.
6. I cut out the 2nd smallest Stitched Oval framelit in Island Indigo, and ran it through the big shot. Next I adhered the white oval on to the Island Indigo oval.
7. Next I cut out a 1 inch by 11 inch strip of Basic Black cardstock and attached it to the jar using tear n tape. Then I adhered the ovals on to the black strip.
8. Then I used 2 foam dimensionals on the back of the banner and placed over the ovals on the jar.

Petal Passion Tote

I am just loving Stampin’ Up!’s Petal Passion Suite! I like the artistic black and white dsp and I just love the adorable bird in the stamp set. I made this cute tote bag and cards for my daughter’s church youth group.

The fun card I made for our team swap in January.

Here’s how to make this cute bag:

1. Out of Basic Black cardstock, cut 2 pieces measuring 1"X11" and score at 1/2". Using the reverse punch on the envelope punch board, round corner edges.
2.  Burnish score lines, and add tombow glue leaving 1 1/2" on both edges.

 3. Adhere together and when dry use a bone folder to add curves to the handles of your bag.
4. Cut a piece of basic black cardstock measuring 4 1/2" X 8"  Score at 1" around all sides. Burnish all sides. Snip 1" in on the longer sides. Feel free to wedge the cuts.

 5.  Use tombow glue and adhere box together, folding in sides.
6. Using the Petal Passion dsp, cut 2 pieces measuring 4 1/2" X 9". Add tombow glue starting half way on a short side followed by long side followed by 1/2 of the other short side.

7. Adhere 1 piece of the cut dsp and attach to bottom of the box.

8. Add more glue to the rest of the black Box.  Attach 2nd piece of dsp by adding a line of glue down both short sides of paper and adhere to box.

9. Cut 2 pieces of Basic Black cardstock measuring 3/4"X 9" . Use tombow glue and adhere to too outside edge of bag.

10.  Adhere handles onto bag.

11. Add gold faceted gems to handles like in photo below.
12. To create the little bird charm, Use the petal palette stamp and framelits. Punch hole and attach to bag. You could use baker's twine if you wish. I used the beaded chain I got at the craft store.
